Soil Mixes

Buying potting soil at the store every single time can get expensive. It is more efficient to just make your own. These are a few simple recipes that you can use to get started when trying to grow your own plants. Once your soil is mixed it still needs fertilizer. I prefer to use an organic fertilizer, my go to is Dr. Earth Homegrown Tomato, vegetable & herb fertilizer. It is usually availabe at most big box stores like Home Depot, Lowes, Wal-Mart, Target etc. I Mix in 2 tablespoons per gallon of soil and have had great results using this ratio. Down below is a YouTube video with more information.
